Long time no update

Sorry about that. I get really lazy sometimes. It's been over three weeks, what have I been up to...?

On the 19th we went to Masterton where they were having a hot air balloon show! They lit up the balloons with music and everything. It was kind of a family event, but only $5, so yay for cheap things. This one is named Sunny and it's from Ohio, believe it or not.
Do you see the Cadbury one?? I think it was my favorite.
 People I went with.
 The whole group.
This was during "Crazy sports week" or another way this school feels like summer camp. Basically they had all the dorms compete in various stupid activities for points. Fun fact: my dorm lost every single game.
We had to carry a balloon to and from the starting point. That's Michelle, she lives across the hall from me. We're actually ordering pizza and watching a movie tonight. Woo!
This was on the drive to Masterton, it seems that all of New Zealand looks like this.
I did not take this picture, but this was the morning after the show during the take off.
More from the show, inflating the balloon.
More balloons!

I have all of my assignments due in the next two weeks, so this week is looking to be like I'll be doing lots of homework. Oh well. This coming weekend I think we're going on a wine tour in Napier on bicycles which should be lots of fun.

That's Daisy in the middle. She has a broken foot and I feel very sorry for her which is why I've made her my New Zealand pet. I'm going to visit her spot tomorrow in hopes of feeding her.

Weekend in Wellington

This weekend I went with a friend to Wellington. We left on Friday afternoon and took the train into the city and then came back on Sunday morning. Mostly all I did was walk around the city and buy things (thanks, Mom!). Pictures from the trip:

This is as we were heading out. Super sketchy, right? We didn't talk to anyone before getting on the train, either.
On the train ride there.

Wellington train station, much less sketchy.

In our hotel, GIANT BATH TUB. I took advantage of this.

Such a delicious breakfast. Kiwis love their "cream" on things, and so does Erin.

This is Cuba Mall where lots of people drink coffee and shop.
Is that a lonely girl scout selling cookies? Yup. I remember those days...

More pictures of Cuba street.

I like this book store.

More people.

Crazy man on a unicycle contraption being crazy.
Lots of coffee places. This was my third latte.

Girl scout cookies! I couldn't help myself. Fun fact: the level we call Daisys in the states they call Pippins
Whale!

I don't know these people. They ran up as we were taking the picture. I felt so awkward.
This is the national museum of New Zealand
Bay
Inside the museum, these are all bones of different sea life
Ancient moa? Maybe?
Kiwis!
DINOSAUR
Then we saw a wedding. Cute.
Cider is pretty big here. And delicious
Not so flattering train picture.
A view from the train.

Now I'm back at school and I should probably do my readings for tomorrow.
